Will Spradling

Mission: To help young men and women reach their full potential both on and off the court.

Will Spradling grew up in Overland Park, Kansas where he attended Shawnee Mission South High School.  He then attended Kansas State University on a full ride scholarship where he received his degree in Business Management.  While at K-State he was a part of a program that reached the NCAA Tournament all 4 years and won a Big 12 regular season title.  He is 1 of 4 players in K-State history to produce 1,000 points, 300 assists, 300 rebounds, and 100 steals.  Will is now in his third year as teacher and the head boys basketball coach at St. Marys High School. 

With Will's love and passion for the game he began Spradling Skills Academy in 2014 with the goal to help young men and women reach their full potential on and off the court.  Will is consistently seen throughout the program running clinics and helping with the teams. 

Christian Ulsaker

Christian Ulsaker

Mision: To instill life lessons through the game of basketball.  Unity, passion, appreciation, integrity, and diligence.

Christian grew up in McPherson, Kansas.  He broke the scoring record with over 1,500 career points and led McPherson High School to a state championship his senior year with a 24-1 record.  His accolades in high school include 3 first team 5A, 3 time AVCTL Division 2 MVP, 1st team all class in both football and basketball his senior year, and Mr. Basketball in the state of Kansas.  He signed with Washburn University, on a full scholarship to play basketball.  He helped his team win the MIAA Championship his Freshman year.  Christian is the head boys basketball coach and a teacher at Wabaunsee High School.    

Christian started coaching with SSA in 2017.  He is currently the head coach of 15U Elite Black


Max Sollars


Mission Statement: “To prepare your son to be the best man he can be while playing the greatest game in the world.”

Coach Sollars graduated from Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, Missouri where he won 3 District Championships and in 2011 took his team to the Missouri Class 4 State Final 4. He then attended Northwest Missouri State University where he obtained a degree in Special Education & Elementary Education. He began his coaching career assisting at his alma mater St. Joe Lafayette under head coach Chris Neff. Coach Sollars has also worked Snow Valley Basketball School since 2011 in both Iowa and Missouri. He then assisted at Van Horn High School during the 2016-2017 season before becoming the head Varsity Basketball Coach.  Coach Sollars received the Coach of the Year award for the Cross Roads Conference for the 2018-19 high school basketball.  

Coach Sollars has coached with SSA for 2 years now and will be leading the 17U Black team this year.  



Matt Simmons


Matt Simmons


Mission: To develop attitude and skills while also helping young athletes reach their dreams of playing basketball at a high level. 

Matt was part of back-to-back 5A State Championship teams at Great Bend High School in 2005 and 2006. During that time he was named to the Wichita Eagle and Topeka Capital Journal's First Team All-Classes. He was named the WAC player of the year and First Team All-5A in 2007. Matt is also Great Bend's all time leading rebounder and shot blocker. Matt was a two year starter at Barton Community College and part of a team that won the Jayhawk Conference in 2009. He finished his collegiate career at Fort Hays State University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree and was part of team that won the MIAA Tournament Championship in 2011. Matt was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and Second Team All-Conference in 2012. After college, Matt joined the Great Bend High School basketball staff until he moved to Topeka in 2017. He is currently the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Jeff West High School and a PE Teacher. 

Matt will be the head coach of the 16U SSA Elite White.

Kelly Moylan

Coach & Skills Instructor

Mission: To impact young people's lives on and off the court. I will develop/encourage high character, selflessness, passion and energy. I will pry my hardest to get the most out of the young people that I coach.

Kelly Moylan is from Emmett, Kansas and attended high school at St. Marys High. There, she was named an honorable mention All-American by USA TODAY and a consensus all-state selection as senior. She was also honored as the 1989 Kansas Sports Magazine Player of  the Year and recorded 1,841 career points at St. Marys.

Kelly then went on to play at Kansas State University 1989-93. She was a four-year letterwinner in her playing career. She finished her career while ranking 11th all-time in both career 3-pointers made (108) and 3-pointers attempted (281) in Kansas State program history. She also ranks seventh all-time in career 3-point field goal percentage (38.4). 

Kelly served as head girls basketball coach at Junction City, KS High School for two seasons and at Hiawatha, KS High School for two seasons. She earned a co-Coach of the Year honors at JCHS. 

After 4 years of High School coaching, she completed 8 seasons (2006-2014) as an assistant coach at Kansas State University. In her years there, KSU qualified for the NCAA tournament or WNIT each season. She also got to be part of a Big 12 Championship!

From Kansas State, she went to Northern Colorado (2014-2018). In her four seasons with the Bears she helped in guiding the team to a historical season, including breaking the school's record for most wins (22) by the womens basketball program, helped guide to be the top defensive team in the Big Sky. The team advanced to the third round of the WNIT. The Bears won a Big Sky Champion regular season and Big Sky Champions!

Currently, Kelly just finished her first season as assistant coach at Manhattan High girls basketball. She is currently a Physical Education teacher at Susan B Anthony Middle School.

She also helps out with SSA skills academy and will be coaching 14U SSA Elite Girls team.

Sarah Wenger

Sarah Wenger

Mission: To help individuals improve their skills in the game of basketball while also encouraging spiritual and character growth. Also she seeks to keep the game of basketball at its core which is fun! 

Sarah Wenger is from Topeka Kansas where she played basketball for Cornerstone Family Homeschool. She then went on to play 4 years at Manhattan Christian College, finished runner-up national champions in 2013. She was named head coach for the Women’s Basketball program at MCC in 2015-2018. In 2018, the team completed their season at 20-6, placing 6th at the National Tournament. Currently Sarah trains for SSA and works here locally in Manhattan

Sarah is the head coach of the 13U SSA Elite Girls team.

Steve Fritz


Mission:  To pass along my knowledge and enthusiasm for the game of Basketball to young players by teaching them to play with energy, passion and teamwork.

Steve played two years of basketball at Hutchison Community College, where he won a National Championship in 1988.  He was selected as a member of the National All Tournament Team.  After Hutch, Steve lettered two years at Kansas State playing for Lon Kruger and Dana Altman.  Steve has 3 years of experience as a Head Varsity High School Coach and 6 years of experience coaching Spring/Summer teams.  

This is Steve's second year coaching in the SSA Program.  He will be the head coach of 14U SSA Elite White.

Chelvin Webb

Mission: To help the youth develop the necessary skills needed to be the best basketball players they can be. I also want to pass along my knowledge and enthusiasm for the game by teaching them to play with energy, passion, and to always have fun while doing it. 

Bio: Chelvin Webb grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and attended high school in Moore, Oklahoma at Southmoore High School where he was a 6A Honorable Mention All State PG in 2014. He went on to play two years of junior college at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa where he was apart of back to back Region 2 runner up teams. He now is playing basketball at Manhattan Christian College and will graduate in 2020 with a bachelors in Bible & Leadership from Manhattan Christian College and a bachelors in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. He looks to pursue basketball after college and getting his masters degree in kinesiology. 

Chelvin will be coaching the 14U Elite Grey Team.
